From digital literacy to an AI-ready world
Paju Citizen Hall, Multipurpose Room 3F · 13:30–15:30
Today’s question
Operations and tools
Is the person who runs experiences well the same as the person who uses tools well?
Think 30 seconds, then one word to your neighbor
Time map
The road we have walked
- Before 2000 — learning tools (fix and reuse)
- 2000–2010 — mobile turn (desk to hand)
- 2010–2020 — everyday and responsibility (three-second check)
- 2021–2030 — records, collaboration, AI (draft is tool, duty is human)
Not a history class. We only keep what remains for activists in each era.
Axis 1 · Tool learning
AI starts from devices
- Imagination — what can be made
- Grasp — parts and rules
- Design — order and structure
- Assembly — connect until it works
- Disassembly — why it is built this way
- Reassembly — fix and re-purpose
Goal: not operators of bought machines, but people who can take apart and put back together.
Era lens
Human-centered → computer-centered
- Human-centered — pencil, typewriter, camera · people command tools
- Computer-centered — OS, algorithms, AI agents · people fit the rules
- Tools enlarge us, then place us inside rules.
Two questions when borrowing a tool: what does it expand? what does it automate?
Axis 2 · Joy design
Start from what they like
- Open from games, music, drawing, photos
- Do something untried together
- Right answer less than face, story, next time
Education succeeds at “I want to do this again.”
Prompts
Define · Explain · Happiness
- Define — X is Y to me
- Explain — as if to someone new
- Happiness — where is the most fun?
Material: any liked game or device. Then move that happy point into today’s experience.
Axis 3 · Motivation
Happiness → repetition → literacy
- Fun = first spark
- Result check = fuel (I did this, and X happened)
- Repetition = growth (behavior expands on its own)
- Six short times beat one long day
Repetition is not homework; it grows when fun and result connect.
Axis 4 · Memory
AI is designed to manage memory
- Markdown — documents people and AI both read
- Oral talk, interview → written record
- MEMORY / checkpoint / notes / task logs
The .md you leave becomes tomorrow’s context and AI memory.
Keep together
Personal · class · group · family
- Personal — notes.md
- Class — lesson-date.md + index
- Group — team-named folder
- Family — shared records
Not “I remember everything” but “each of us leaves a little.”
Axis 5 · Diversity
An eye that can see more than one way
- Verification — is it true, where is the source?
- Filtering — keep what is needed now
- Other value standards — from the other side?
- Judgment → tool switching (freedom to switch from my judgment)
Technical diversity is not using many tools.
Easiest practice
Interview — question and answer
- Open question — when was this most fun?
- Specifics — what happened in that moment?
- Record — leave .md and confirm understanding
- Speech sets direction; one theme to the end
One Q&A can move literacy, memory, and motivation at once.
Background
The quiet twenty years
- Products and brands emphasized; open tech quiet
- Samsung/Android — foundation is open source, eyes see brand
- Closed tools only → hard to practice disassemble and remix
Today’s tool learning is why.
Shift 2025–2026
AI was born on open source
- Public models and tools enter daily life and education
- Markdown becomes memory and collaboration material
- From receiver to maker and sharer
The old quiet technology becomes everyone’s language.
Session 2 practice
One-pager — one experience
- Define — who, what change
- Structure — open → immerse → share → connect
- Operations — time / people / safety and access
- Record — photos, copy, feedback
- Digital — notice / photo consent / three-second check
Team design + quick share. Activist skills: question and design / field ops / record and hand-off.
Pledge
Today’s pledge
When I build an experience, I start from ( ). When I keep records, I use ( ).
Fill the blanks. Three photos and three reflection lines within 24 hours. Start a team folder with 00-index.md.
Closing
We borrow tools, we make experience
May today’s skills help one more person join in school and village tomorrow.
